i write fiction and live in the Midwest.  i placed second in the 2001 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest of Humboldt State University’s literary magazine, Toyon, and my first published short story, “Hand Towel with Oleanders,” appeared in Rosebud  issue no. 27.

Recently, i placed as a finalist in the 2009 Indiana Review Fiction Contest.  Before than, I was a 2007 William Faulkner--William Wisdom writing competition  finalist in the novella category. You can currently find my story “Errata “ in the Winter issue of Indiana Review

i live with my wife and sons--both beautiful and loved.
